  Ready, is he kidding? I've been ready since I got his call. But somehow he still has the power to make me blush. I tell him anyway, “Yes, I need you now.”

  “Good,” he says. “Because I'm not sure I can wait any longer.”

  He bends me over the hall table, my breasts against the cool surface. They are so sensitive I could swear I feel the grain in the wood.

  He plunges into me so deeply, I call out. Feeling him inside me after waiting for him to get home feels so good and then he grabs my breasts and holds onto them, flicking my nipples and twisting, taking me to the cusp of pain and pleasure as he thrusts in and out of me in a hard, fast, relentless pummeling of my body.

  Just as I'm about to come, the pounding ceases. “Don't stop,” I groan.

  “I just remembered something.” He pulls out of me.

  He does up his pants and picks me up, throwing me over his shoulder, and carries me into the dining room, putting me onto the table so I feel the smooth glass on my behind. He gets between my legs and pulls me closer so I'm sitting at the very edge of the table. “Now I can fuck you and look at you at the same time,” he says. “Perfect!” The way he rams into me then over and over it's just as well that table top is reinforced or I'm sure it would shatter into a million pieces.

  But instead it's me that shatters around him as I come and he is not long behind, calling out my name in the dining room and then we collapse together on the table, laughing.

  “I never said you could come,” he says.

  “Sorry, I forgot to beg.”

  “I might have to spank you anyway.”

  “I might have to let you, but I thought you were supposed to make me dinner first in this fantasy.”

  “We're eating out. I already booked a table.”

  I'm a little disappointed that we’re going out but he says he wants to take me out to thank me for waiting for him and being there for him all through his recovery and I can't be grumpy about that. There'll be so much time in the future for all kinds of fantasies that I just shower and put on my blue dress, the one that Jack liked so much, the one that he says made him notice me at my parents' party.

  He's chosen a restaurant we normally go to only as a treat and I'm looking forward to dinner there. But when he opens the big double doors into the place and lets me go in first I get such a surprise because all my family is there. All of them!

  I look at Jack but he's not saying a word. He's smiling though.

  It turns out everyone is there at his invitation because he has asked for Dad's permission first and now he wants to ask me something. He has a ring, a beautiful solitaire diamond set in white gold.

  “Will you marry me,” he says.

  I don't think I even say yes. I just squeal and hug him.

  “Do you like the ring?” he asks.

  “I love it. It's perfect!”

  “Just like you,” he says and my family all clap knowing how perfect we are for each other.
